When I first came to Christian Medical Ministries, I had been going to different doctors for almost 10 years looking for answers to the pain and severe fatigue I was experiencing, and no one was ever able to help. Dr. Gruning was able to quickly diagnose me with CIRS. I was able to see that even issues from my childhood were all a direct result of mold exposure. There was finally an answer! At this point I had pretty much given up the hope of having children because my pain was so severe, I didn’t think I would be capable of caring for another person. After about a year I was completely pain free and felt normal again!

Fast forward to today, I am still pain free and have two amazing children! I am so thankful for Dr. Gruning and his team!

My son and I saw over 10 different doctors combined trying to find someone to treat us for biotoxin illness. We even showed them the results of mold tests from our house which showed black mold and the doctors told us it was all in our head and mold wasn’t dangerous. Someone finally recommended Dr. Gruning to us. After I spoke on the phone to Jackie and she told me that Dr. Gruning would see us, I was so relieved I cried. He assured me that it was not all in our heads and that he had a treatment plan for us that would make us better. After running some tests, he diagnosed us with CIRS and came up with a plan for us to get better! We have been seeing Dr. Gruning for months now and are feeling so much better.

I am so thankful for his help and for everyone in his office. I’m not sure where we would be without them!

Before SWFL Free Pain Clinic, I was in constant pain. I couldn't use my arms or my hands, I couldn't get in and out of a chair, and could barely walk. Because I don't have insurance, I wasn't able to get the help I needed. But Doctor Gruning at the Clinic changed all that. He was able to send me for blood tests and prescribed medicine. Now I am able to walk, get in and out of chairs, and use my hands. My life has changed 100% for he better thanks to the SWFL Free Pain Clinic!

I have been going to the SWFL Free Pain Clinic for a number of years now. There have been days where I experienced pain in my lower back, so extreme, that it would also run down my leg making it difficult to drive my vehicle.

Every time I have left the clinic, after receiving treatments, my pain level decreases dramatically . I have found the clinic to be a Godsend to those of us without health insurance or the means to acquire other medical attention. Their Holistic, Chiropractic, Physical and Massage Therapies , Acupuncture, Nutritional and Lifestyle Education services are exceptional. Dr. Gruning has always brought together a competent and dedicated team of health care professionals and staff who deeply care about their patients' physical, mental and spiritual well-being. They are all a credit to the Fort Myers community.  I hope they are able to continue for many years to come.

Christian Medical Ministries gave me hope! Five months ago when I came to Doctor Gruning at Christian Medical Ministries, I was a mess.  My mind was foggy, and my body ached. I was trying to recover from double pneumonia and other doctors could not help me.  I felt lost and desperate.  When I walked into CMM, Jackie greeted me with warmth that brought assurance.

The CMM team is professional and devoted to helping others.  Even in my foggy state, I was aware of the quality of personal care I was receiving.  Doctor Gruning gave me hope.  He assured me that I was going to be healthy again and told me God has a purpose and plan for my life.  He knew how to treat not only my symptoms, but the underlying causes. He walked me through some life changes with positivity and grace.  I am grateful to God for Doctor Gruning and his team at CMM for caring more about people than profit and for giving me another chance to live a life of clarity, purpose, faith and health.

I had developed MCAS and CIRS from mold poisoning and had no clue what I was experiencing.  I had countless trips to the ER with SVT episodes and being diagnosed with General Weakness as tests and labs showed a somewhat healthy person. Dr. Gruning and his staff are determined to see you not only survive, but thrive. I have been given the chance of a normal life again, and I am forever grateful knowing that such illness can be treated and there is hope.

Christian Medical Ministries changed my life! It felt like I was in a black hole. My health was horrible. I couldn’t think clearly. I would go to the kitchen five times in a row forgetting that I simply wanted a cup of water. I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I felt like I was crazy. I would go to the doctor’s office with flu-like symptoms, but they would tell me that there was nothing wrong with me; they only referred me to specialists. I was going to several different medical providers to try to treat several different symptoms that I was having. When I came into the clinic, Doctor Gruning knew exactly what was wrong with me and began treating me immediately for all the symptoms. I feel like I have quality of life again. I am still going through treatment, but after just six months, I have already seen a night-and-day difference in my mental and physical health.
